The Chanshal valley, which is the highest mountain peak of Shimla, sits at a high altitude of 4520mtrs at the upper end of Pabbar Valley, offering scenic natural beauty. The unexplored beauty of Chanshal is yet to be discovered fully by travelers, mainly due to the lack of good roads. The Valley is around 160 km from Shimla and lies in between Rohru town and Dodra Jkwar valley. The road trip consists of 6-7 hours as the road is poor. But in between, you can step down at various places and enjoy the unparallel beauty of snow-clad mountains and green meadows. The weather conditions are pretty harsh, and there is heavy snowfall over here, cutting the road connectivity from November to February.
Chanshal pass off has lately become a hot destination for skiing in Himachal Pradesh. Travelers can book a resort or a budget hotel nearby and enjoy the relaxing gateway by watching the sunrise from the mountains and being engrossed in the tranquillity of the panoramic views. Many tourism projects are being developed in this area owing to the breathtaking views and increased number of travelers. Plan your trip to Chanshal valley/ Chanshal pass and indulge in a mesmerizing experience away from city chaos.
